High-tech engineering strategies for strain and process development are integrated to obtain industrially relevant production levels of a broad range of molecules, such as sugars, biosurfactants, organic acids and other chemical building blocks.
Research at InBio.be is currently focused in 3 major lines:
- the 'CyleUP' line, investigating Carbon Capture Utilisation and production on waste and side streams
- the ‘Glycoactives’ line, investigating specialty carbohydrates such as iminosugars
- the ‘Lipoactives’ line, investigating biosurfactants and active glycolipids.
